About PureLine

PureLine is a chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) expert — a manufacturer and solutions provider with more than a decade of field experience across food and beverage, water treatment, healthcare, and oil and gas. Our proprietary on-site generation technology and fumigation services help facilities eliminate microbial risk, reduce downtime, and maintain safe, efficient operations.

Our fumigation service line — including MobileClean™ large-scale facility sterilization, PureFlo™ targeted fumigation, and pHlor-San™ floor and drain saturation — delivers a guaranteed 6-log (99.9999%) pathogen reduction with no residue and rapid return to production. We have sterilized millions of cubic feet of production space for processors including Leprino Foods, the world's largest mozzarella producer.

The Role

We are hiring a Business Development Manager to grow our fumigation and decontamination service line. This is a full-cycle sales role: you will build and work your own pipeline through outbound prospecting and inside sales, and you will travel regularly to conduct on-site visits, scope facilities, and close business with plant and operations leaders.

Your primary charge is to deepen PureLine's footprint in the Food & Beverage industry while opening new ground in poultry operations (hatcheries, broilers, and integrators), pharmaceuticals, cannabis, and cosmetics. You will be the technical, consultative partner our customers expect — not a commodity chemical seller — translating a facility's contamination challenge into the right PureLine treatment program.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle for fumigation services — prospecting, qualification, facility scoping, proposal, and close.
  • You will focus on Food Safety Consultants, in addition to US Food Processing Companies.
  • Generate pipeline through outbound outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn) and manage inbound and inside sales opportunities from marketing and trade shows.
  • Travel regularly for on-site visits to assess facilities, understand production environments, and build relationships with decision-makers.
  • Deepen and expand existing Food & Beverage accounts — consultants, dairy, cheese, meat, ready-to-eat, and beverage processors — with a focus on proactive, recurring fumigation programs.
  • Develop new verticals: poultry operations (hatcheries, broilers, integrators), pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics manufacturing.
  • Lead consultative, technical conversations with food safety managers, plant engineers, quality directors, and operations leaders — positioning total cost of treatment and downtime advantages against incumbent methods.
  • Coordinate with PureLine's engineering and operations teams to scope treatments, schedule service, and ensure each job meets our validated-results standard.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and account records in the CRM.
  • Represent PureLine at industry trade shows and conferences, and feed competitive and market intelligence back to the team.

What You Bring

  • 3–10 years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling technical services, equipment, or solutions into industrial, food processing, or manufacturing environments or equivalent as a food safety or sanitation professional.
  • A proven track record of both outbound prospecting and inside sales — you are comfortable building pipeline from scratch and managing a full cycle to close.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly for site visits; you are energized by being in the field and on plant floors.
  • The ability to hold a credible, consultative conversation with engineers, quality directors, consultants and procurement professionals — confident with technical detail without being academic.
  • Strong discovery and listening skills; you diagnose a facility's real problem before prescribing a solution.
  • Self-directed and disciplined — you can run a territory and manage your own time in a remote role.
  • Comfort with CRM tools and a data-driven approach to pipeline management.

Nice to Have

  • Preferred experience in one or more of: food safety, food and beverage operations, or fumigation.
  • Experience selling chemicals into food and beverage processing, poultry, pharmaceutical, cannabis, or cosmetics facilities.
  • Familiarity with sanitation, decontamination, biosecurity, or FSMA / food-safety compliance.
  • Understanding of chlorine dioxide, fumigation, or industrial water treatment.

Compensation & Structure

This is a base-plus-commission role designed to reward pipeline generation and closed business. Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $155,000 depending on experience, and the commission structure rewards the growth you drive across Food & Beverage and our new target verticals. The role is remote (US-based) with the expectation of regular travel for site visits; travel is reimbursed.

Why PureLine

You'll sell a differentiated, field-tested service with documented results at some of the largest processors in the country — not a commodity. You'll have room to shape strategy in high-potential verticals that are wide open for us, backed by an engineering and operations team that delivers on what you sell.
